Precautions for using cable fire resistance test equipment

time:2025-09-10 click:

Cable Fire Resistance Test Device:

The cable fire resistance test device is used to test the fire resistance of cables used in distribution or power grids. The test involves testing the cable's circuit integrity in flames at temperatures of at least 750°C. Alternatively, the test involves testing the cable's circuit integrity in flames at temperatures of at least 830°C, with a certain amount of impact and vibration.

Maintenance and Maintenance:

1. Correct wiring is crucial for proper operation of the device. Ensure proper wiring during operation. The device must be properly grounded to ensure operator safety.

2. Any malfunction must be handled by a qualified electrical professional. Failure to do so may result in further equipment failure or personal injury.

3. When replacing electrical appliances, replace them according to their original specifications. Replacement should be done while the power is off, and pay attention to the residual voltage in the system.

4. Symptoms and Solutions

4.1 No response when pressing the power switch: A. Power supply not working; C. Power switch faulty.

4.2 No display on the touch screen: A. Power switch faulty; B. Touch screen faulty; C. Fuse blown.

4.3 Real-time data is missing from the monitoring screen: A. Fuse blown or disconnected; B. Signal transmitter abnormality; C. Wiring error;

4.4 Display switch not operating: APLC fault; B. Actuator fault;

4.5 Incorrect data display: A. Power phase failure or disconnection between the voltage regulator and the step-up transformer; B. Signal transmitter or analog module fault.

5. Maintenance

Monthly, open the electrical control box and inspect for loose wiring and other abnormalities. Check that the insulation between the wiring, voltage regulator, and transformer is above 1MΩ.

Precautions for Cable Fire Resistance Tester:

1. Before using this equipment, operators must carefully read the product manual, master safety information, and take appropriate safety precautions. Only conduct tests after confirming there are no gas leaks.

2. If a gas leak occurs, stop the test immediately. Do not ignite any fire or turn on the power switch. Open the test equipment and laboratory doors and windows to allow the gas to vent outdoors. If the gas leak is minor, turn on the exhaust fan to expedite troubleshooting. Only resume the test after the fault has been resolved.

3. Before using different gases, any remaining gas in the pipes should be purged to avoid dangerous mixing of different gases. Pay attention to the gas pressure setting during use, as this will affect the ignition quality. The gas pressure control setting should be adjusted to achieve a standard flame.

4. This equipment must have reliable electrical grounding circuit protection.

5. The fixture and moving parts of the blowtorch are supported by linear bearings. Therefore, the bearing stems must be kept clean and cleaned regularly to ensure proper operation of the linear bearings.

6. If the igniter fails to ignite with high voltage, check the high-voltage leads and adjust the distance between the ignition needle and the blowtorch to ensure it meets the specifications (approximately 10mm).

7. If high-voltage ignition is detected but ignition does not occur, please check the following conditions:

a. Is the gas flow switch turned on?

b. Is the gas connection hose loose or disconnected? Check for tightness.

c. The ignition needle is not aligned with the corresponding position of the blowtorch; adjust the position.

d. There is residual air in the gas pipe. Purge the air and try again.

8. If the flame ignites but then goes out momentarily, it could be due to excessive gas pressure or air flow. Adjust the blowtorch pressure valve and air control valve.

9. At the end of the test, close the gas tank valve first, allowing the blowtorch to continue burning until the gas in the pipe has burned out, and then close the remaining valves.

10. Regularly check the sealing performance of the gas pipeline and connectors. If the pipeline is deteriorating, replace it promptly to ensure safety.
